Publishing with EasyWeb

I hope you can clarify something for me. So far I have been publishing via Cyberduck because I published to a different provider. Yesterday I finally published my site to Rage but also used Cyberduck. The reason is I am not sure what to do with some files - like WOW Slider for example. When I create a slideshow it gets published into a directory of a particular page. If I want to publish via EasyWeb where would I publish the slideshow to? Adding files into Assets does not put them in a particular page directory....What am I missing here? Also, is it possible to publish via EasyWeb and then add files via Cyberduck if necessary? ------------------------------- Yelena MacBook Pro OS X 10.10.3 IMac 21" OS X 10.10.3 |

This is why we have been requesting the ability to drag folders into Assets rather than just files since it's not possible to upload folders of assets (like your Wow folder) to the EasyWeb server. Even if you could, it is not a good solution since you are having to use absolute paths to all the images and scripts rather than relative ones. I mentioned the problem in this topic back in May... http://ragesw.net/easyweb-beta/viewtopic.php?f=5...t=427 To implement Wow in EasyWeb you would need to drag all the individual components into Assets so that they will be uploaded in the ewExternalFiles folder. You will then need to insert the relative links to the Wow CSS file and the scripts.js in the appropriate code boxes and decide whether you need their version of jQuery. If you have added another version of jQuery for some other project you will need to check for conflicts. The HTML will need to be pasted into a Snippet after you have changed all the links to the images, thumbs, arrows, shadow etc. There's also at least one image path in the style.css which requires attention. There doesn't appear to be any problems in the script.js file although that doesn't meant there won't be! The Wow slider files I am looking at are for a very basic version. If you have added any fancy features they may causes problems. Really, the only way is to try it to see if you can get it to work. I don't use Wow slider for a number of reasons and it is not the easiest to insert unless you are creating your site with a code editor rather than a drag and drop app. There are lots of easier, free and much more lightweight ones around. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
