Head Code on Site Publishing Settings page doesn't stay

User: Guest 12 years ago
Any code I type into the Head Code box on the Site Publishing Settings page disappears after closing EasyWeb and opening it back up.

What I'm finding is that that code has taken affect and now I can't edit it or remove it.

I just tested this function in both the site wide and the head code boxes and it works as planned. I did come across a publishing bug but it is not related to any code insertion.

Are you typing text in there or are you copying and pasting text?

Copy-pasting. The head code stays when pasted to each individual page, but not the site publishing settings.

However, I'm now not 100% sure the code that disappeared is actually being applied. I restored from a time machine backup and it looks the same. I thought it made a minor change, but I guess it didn't. Regardless, the code disappears.

I've had text disappear from the site wide Header Code also.

Can you reproduce it? When does it happen for you?

I copy and pasted code in there once for Sublime Video player. And I remember it disappearing shorty thereafter. But I never gave it a second thought because everything worked. I'll see if I can reproduce the problem...

Just to update you guys on this, the head/footer code is only supported when you are logged into an EasyWeb account. So it won't be saved unless you are logged in.

This has been changed for the next version.
