It works OK for me but then I use Copy and Paste. "Paste and Match Style" is for copying over text. You don't use it for objects or pasting a whole text box.

I was copy ... pasting between EasyWeb ... EasyWeb. I selected all from a page in one site and pasted it into another boat, it loses all formatting. |

Copying and pasting shapes with images between websites won't be possible in the initial release. You can do it within the same site though. It's actually complicated to get right. We'll work on improving it in the next release. Technical Explanation Since all images are mapped to an Asset (under the Assets tab) when you copy a shape and try to move it to a new site it looks for the same Asset (referenced by an ID number). If the Asset number doesn't exist in the new site nothing will be drawn in the shape. If an asset with the same ID is in the new site than that shape will use that asset. I'm doing the same thing. I have both sites open at the same time, select all, copy and paste and everything goes fine. One of the first things I tried with EasyWeb was to make sure I could open two sites at once to this very thing. Obviously the navigation isn't the same as the pages on the second site are different but it, cleverly, readjusts itself in an idiot proof way if I try to copy it over! Hi Roddy, The only thing that won't work is copying shapes that have are set to image fill. Joe's shapes mostly had image fills where yours was just text. So yours will work perfectly fine its just copying shapes with image fill won't copy the image to the new site. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
