Hyperlink formatting

Hyperlink formatting does not show appropriate results as per the chosen Normal, Rollover ... Visited options ... lacks consistency in the results while previewing. Also there are no hyperlink formatting options for images ... shapes. Suggestion: Something like an adjustment in transparency or image becoming a b/w or grey-tone kind of formatting options will be very helpful as they will be indicative of the image/shape being clickable/ a hyperlink. |

Please show screenshots of what you see in EasyWeb and what you see in your web browser. Also posting your website URL so I can take a look would also be helpful. Mouse over [quote="sandeepmhatre":2btjsm2l]You can set mouse over and mouse down transitions for any shape or image under Inspector->Shape Options->Fill settings.[/quote:2btjsm2l] Opacity changes to the same image do not show in shape mouse over/normal/mouse down feature. And I was more specifically talking about images. For example, if I want a image to be having a certain opacity which becomes 100% visible on mouse over or vice-versa thats not possible. Therefore, It is difficult to indicate the click- ability of images and other than the change of the arrow cursor to hand icon, there is no other indicative. I also tried uploading 2 different versions of the same image at different opacities in the normal ... mouse over function but the image overall seems to jump that way on mouse over. I will send screen shots for more clarity on the text hyperlink formatting. Thanks |

Quote: I also tried uploading 2 different versions of the same image at different opacities in the normal ... mouse over function but the image overall seems to jump that way on mouse over. This should work fine. Please show your web page that displays the issue because I don't know what you mean by "image overall seems to jump that way on mouse over". Screen shots and your website URL would be helpful. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

I am also having trouble with text hyperlinks. All of my hyperlinks to my own pages show the cursor when scrolling over but they don not work. The formatting also doesn't work I.e the text is white as standard but set to change blue with an underline as you roll over and this works fine on two of my links but not at all on the other two. I am also having trouble editing text... Sometimes I cannot double click an existing text box and edit until i have closed Easyweb and restarted it. I hope you can help. Best regards, Graham |

With regards to text hyperlinking inconsistencies, I too have encountered this many times but am no longer worried. Eventually it works. For me, since I'm uploading to an FTP, I just trash all my Publish to Folder contents, Publish Entire Site, reset Safari (or clear the browser cache ... history), then relaunch. An inefficient workaround, but I always end up with the correct font ... colours in the end. If you're just using Preview however, I'd at least suggest clearing/resetting the browsers and see if that works. Of course, hopefully, this issue will be resolved over time. As for your workaround with making an image less transparent (or more) during mouse over, I'm surprised that doesn't work. I did that with 2 images, one white, one gray and it works fine. I assume you're saving as png to maintain transparency. ------------------------------- rMBP 15", 2.6 Ghz, 16 GB RAM, OS X 10.11.6, with 27" Thunderbolt Cinema Display www.cleetche.com |

The iWeb forum is littered with "problems" which were "solved" by emptying the browser cache. If you are going to create websites you need to take the time to learn how browsers work! It doesn't matter if the files are published locally or to a server, you must clear the browser cache before viewing any changes to your site. You can achieve the same thing by hitting the refresh button a few times or forcing the browser to load from the server - rather than the cache - by adding a ? to the end of the URL. In Safari this operation is really quick and simple if you turn on the Develop menu in Safari Prefs. Then you can use the keyboard command - option/command/E In Firefox and Chrome use - Shift/Command/Delete Using the new Preview button in EasyWeb is far quicker and more convenient to quickly view changes made to the current page since it launches that page in your browser of choice. Make sure you have at least Firefox, Chrome and Safari installed and test in all three. Browser testing is essential so make sure you have the latest versions installed and check regularly for updates. NOTE: I haven't had any problems with changes not showing when using the new Preview button in EasyWeb - even if I don't empty the browser's caches. NOTE to Admin: Can we have a keyboard command for "Preview". Something like - Option/Command/P ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
