| Hey I was wanting to publish on my hosting I have through Machighway.com and I was wondering if that were possible in the beta, It doesn't seem to let me drop down the menu. Thanks | |

| To publish to third party web hosts, you will need to use the Publish to folder option and then upload the website using an FTP client. | |

If you don't have an EasyWeb account you can't select a local folder in the Site Publishing Page. When you are ready to publish, click the Publish button or use File/Publish Entire Site... You will get a popup like this... ![]() Click the "Publish to Folder" button, browse to the folder you want to publish to and select it. Once you have published the site, open the folder and double click the index.html file to launch it in the browser. If all is well, upload with your favorite FTP app. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Roddy, I'm still confused about publishing to folder. Here's why... I click on the Publish icon at the bottom of the EW page. Then I get the message that "You must sign into your EasyWeb account to publish your website." So far, so good. So then I click on "Create Account." That takes me to Rage's "Web Hosting" page where it looks like my only options are to sign up for paid hosting. I see two prices there. What confuses me is this: In past Beta's I published to folder and there was no need to sign up for paid hosting. Does creating an account mean you're signing up for paid hosting now? If so I can hold off on the hosting and merely use Preview until EW is out of Beta. Thanks / John |

Hi John, The dialog still has the publish to folder button that was in all previous versions, so nothing has changed. The button caption just says 'Create Account' instead of 'Sign In'. Once EasyWeb is out of beta you will need the account to Publish to a Folder. The "hosting" account you are referring to gets you the ability to publish to EasyWeb or to a folder so you can publish to any web hosting service. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Thanks, Paul, I see it now-I've also been mistakenly clicking on the wrong file in my folder when I should have opened up the one that says, ew siteinfoxml. -John |

Before I continue working on my site I would like to see what I have been doing is working out. I am looking for a favorite FTP app. Looking for ideas for MacBook Pro favorites. |
