Viewing Color Selection

I noticed this a while back and keep forgetting to mention it. When you click on the color selection rectangle in the inspector the focus ring "lights up" when the mouse is clicked or held down...  ... but reverts to default when the mouse is released...

Yah, why shouldn't it? It needs to show that the button was pressed. Unless I am misunderstanding what you are saying here?....

It doesn't show that the button has been depressed because, as soon as the mouse is released, the focus disappears and the user doesn't know whether its selected or not.

Oh you mean it should stay depressed as long as the colour window is opened..

Yes, otherwise you don't know whether its selected or not.

Going back to this I notice that my last observation was fairly stupid. Say I want to insert a shape with stroke and shadow - which I wouldn't but its a good example! When I select the shape and then click on the color fill window in the Shape Options inspector, the focus ring should "light up" and stay lit. Then, when I go to select the border color, the focus ring around the color box for the line color should light up when the box is clicked and stay lit until I click on the shadow color box. At the same time the ring around the shape color should turn off. Yes and I agree it is a good idea, but it may not make it into the first release because it is actually a bit complicated to implement and get right.
