Text editing becomes unresponsive

User: Guest 12 years ago
Working away happily and sometimes I go back to a text box to edit however it is unresponsive. I can't change text or font or highlight text. If I go to another page and then back to the original page everything works again.

If you can work out steps to reproduce this please let me know.

Does it happen after you use the undo feature?

It a long page maybe 5000px, it just seems to be when I scroll right down then back but it is intermittent. I'll try to see if there is a pattern to it. I've noticed that embedded vimeo files disappear also however they are still there and upload to the server ok. The 2 problems seem to happen together.

Also how can I add png to external files in assets? They always go to images.

One way is to use the hyperlink option to a file and select the PNG image which will always make the file a hyperlink. Then remove the hyperlink. The png file will still be in the external files.

This text editing issue is happening to me as well.
I worked on this page (link below) inputting all of my text and went back to change a couple of words. I tried to make the text live but it wouldn't allow me to get in. I closed out the software and re-opened the file hoping that the text would be editable again. I attempted to make the text live and the program crashed.

Sorry Paul. I didn't. I actually got it working again by re-opening the software again and resizing the text bounding box. If it happens again I will send you the crash report for sure.

Crash reports can be found in the User library in the Home folder.

If you are running OS X 10.7/10.8, open the Finder Go drop down menu and hold down the Option key then click "Library".

The crash reports are in Logs/DiagnosticReports so the full path is ...

~Library/Logs/CrashReports

A crash report will look like this...

Double click it to open and check the TIME and DATE to select the latest one.

You can zip it by selecting it and then selecting Compress in the Finder File menu so that you can attach it to an email.

I'm using OS X 10.6.8 and apparently my "Crash Reports" are not in the Library folder. I can't seem to find them.
User: Paul-RAGESW 12 years ago
Make sure you are looking in your user folder and not the System wide Library folder.

Here's three crash reports. One with the text box and two that occurred today while I was attempting to add photos to the photo widget. I hope this helps.

Were you dropping many images onto EasyWeb?

The first time I tried to drop about 6 images. The second time it crashed I figured that the images were too big to drop in so I only dropped 3. Each image was approximately 2.5mgs. I used the "reduce the image size" button and within a couple seconds the program crashed.

Can you compress these images and send them to https://billing.ragesw.com/submitticket.php so I can test them.

Please reference this forum topic when sending.
