RE: ROLLOVER IN HEADER.... do you mean to paste it into the head code under the inspector tab? if not where is the site publishing setting...When I hit publish I do not see any site wide publishing page... then you ask me to hit <a class="sales" href="mailto:Sales@SuperPromoStuff.Com?subject=Email Subject...body=">Sales@SuperPromoStuff.Com</a> in the html Snippet ..but I couldn't highlight it to select it.... As to the other request for the link I copied over from my other web site.... highlight the text and use the EasyWeb Link inspector to create the hyperlink and rollover. I did do that and everything looked fine..but didn't work when I published it. |

Click the site name at the top of the left column in EasyWeb to open Site Publishing Settings. Click "SELECT ALL" and then do a Command C to copy the code from this forum. Perhaps you need to empty your browser cache before the published links will work? ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Ugh..this is tough... Perhaps you need to empty your browser cache before the published links will work?...I cleared my cache..the colors change as though it would rollover but it goes to File not Found.... on the other problem...I found the site publishing section..didn't know where you wanted me to do a select all but I cut and pasted the code in the head box..but nothing happened...it didn't ask me for colors and still show that it's clickable <style type="text/css"> a.sales { text-decoration: none; font: 20px 'Tahoma', Verdana, sans-serif; color: #FFF; font-weight:bold; text-align: center; margin: 5px;} a:hover.sales { color: #FF0000;} </style> |

You always need to empty your browser cache before viewing a newly published version of your website since otherwise you will get an old cached version. After you have pasted the styles into the site wide head code box, go to the page and click on the Snippet. You should see a little green dot with an arrow as it refreshes itself. You then need to publish the site to see the rollover. I am trying to put colors on the rollover phone number in my header....It is now white....when I try to select this line for the snippet ...it does not allow me to select it by itself. as for the second problem with the links...I did empty my cache in firefox...the link in my header ( the one that doesn't show coors) works fine...but the link in the text I pasted in shows the rollover colors but gets a FILE NOT FOUND.... |

You can't put rollover colors into the link in the snippet. It needs some more CSS to do this. In any case, you don't want a rollover on the phone link because it doesn't work on computers and iPhone doesn't do hover (rollover). If you get "fIle not found" then you need to check the URL. Copy it and paste it into the browser to test. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | I'm still having problems with the link for sales@superpromostuff.com..I'v e copied and pasted it and i've re-typed it but it still doesn't go through...I went to Inspector and clicked Links...put in external page...added the Link...selected the rollover colors..save and published it but it still does not work. I'm sure there is a simple answer but I can't find it! | |

Others seem to be having problems with hyperlinks. I assume this problem will be fixed in the final version..but will I have to go back and re-do everything? I have about 50 category/product links that have to be copied on to easy web....can I just copy and paste all the links and will they work...or do I have to program in each separate link with inspector? |

I'm not sure that it is fully functional yet but there is a button in the Metrics inspector which pops up a window to edit the default styles for your site. That's where you would set up text and rollover styles.

Roddy I don't think that answers my question....can I just copy and past about 50 links from my original site or do I have to go into the inspetor and plug in every link separately? Is your answer to tell me how they should look re size and font?..but can't i do that with cutting and pasting? |

You can't just copy a hyperlink from a web page unless it is an actual URL. Even then you would have to enter that URL into the link inspector and set the colors and U.
