Yes you can upload to any web host but you still need to purchase the software which costs $99 and gets you 1 year of upgrades and support. You can purchase EasyWeb here; https://billing.ragesw.com/cart.php?gid=3 Select the first option list above. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

| I've been using Rage since Apple dropped Mobile Me. The transfer was pretty easy once the geeks at Rage spoke English to me (LOL). I moved my domain from Yahoo and the site all at one time. I was able to use iWeb and was the main reason I switched. I went with Rage because so much of what they do is Apple based. I signed up for a three year deal and have never looked back. My questions are answered very quickly, and when you're a novice that's important. | |

I understand providing phone support is far too expensive at the $99-a-year rate. If paid support, where you pay a fee for one to three years' phone support is also not an option for the same reason, then at least a comprehensive, thorough, detailed manual (or book printed on demand at Amazon ) written in a third-grade style for the non-tekkies among us like me would be, I think, indispensable. (The transcripts of the videos are a great example of keeping things simple.) Many people learn best by watching videos. There are many others like me who learn best by reading, at times combined with doing. A comprehensive, easy to read manual could save time and money and replace a lot of the lengthy back and forth of tech-support emails. |

| p.s. Apple never did produce much in the way of a good manual for iWeb. I did, however, find Steve Sande's Take Control of iWeb (published by TidBITS), well-written and easy-to-read. Also useful... 92-pages... Occasionally I've found small sections of his manual helpful when using EasyWeb. I downloaded it a while ago for around $15 on Amazon. | |

Using a host like Hostmonster gives you free hosting for as many domain accounts as you want (free and unlimited) you only pay $8:00 / month for your primary account. This way you can host as many accounts as you like as if you are the host for your client. (example.... if you have 50 sites made by EW, you can place them all on Hostmonster for free, just have to purchase the individual domain names if needed. Rage only offer hosting for EW and only 2GB....... If you have videos on your sites/s you quite quickly out of space. As I said before in another area...... This structure is not making sense, albeit they are trying to serve all of the needs. |

Remember, VERY IMPORTANT, Hostmonster isn't giving you EasyWeb! They aren't able to provide customer support for EasyWeb. They aren't able to support all future and current features of EasyWeb. There is more that goes into the EasyWeb service than just your "standard web hosting". You are comparing Apples to Oranges. They are different products and services. And you should read the terms of service from these companies that are offering you unlimited websites, space and bandwidth before making these statements and you will see that you can't always place "50 sites for free" on them. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Why the 2 and 10GB (upgraded) limits for EW users while all of Rage's other hosting plans are "Unlimited"? Below is from Rage's FAQ page about hosting plans. At least offer the unlimited hosting plans you offer other customers as an upgraded option. I mean why not? Otherwise an EW user who needs more than 10GB would need to buy the 2GB EW plan and another "unlimited" hosting plan elsewhere or with Rage on top of that... http://www.ragesw.com/webhosting-faqs.php What is included with your web hosting package? | So if I want an "Unlimited hosting package" with all the features listed above and EasyWeb. What's the price? I'm seriously considering this depending on if the price is inline with your unlimited hosting package and it really is unlimited disk space, bandwidth, email accounts, etc... Thanks. | |
