Viewing Dynamic Width (Page Layout)

Dynamic Width (Page Layout)

Using Dynamic width gives you a 100% page width but EasyWeb still inserts the objects in a fixed size absolutely positioned div.

Here's an example of using dynamic width in EasyWeb and then modifying the code a little to change the containing div...

To achieve this, the image is given a percentage width. The containing div then has its height and width removed and is positioned relatively rather than absolutely.

It should be possible to make your splash page responsive and then divert visitors to either the full site or the mobile one depending on device width.

Yes, that's what I want to do! But I'd like to keep the text and hyperlinks where they are, on the image. I can flatten the text into the image using a certain photo editing software loathed by our friendly Scot, but how do I anchor the hyperlink to the image? And Darian, sorry I wasn't clear enough. I'm just as interested in vertical centering. Eventually when I catch up, I'll probably do mobile pages. Until then, I'm designing for desktops and laptops. The rest of my site works fine I think. It's the entry page that I have to position up high for it to appear properly on a macbook. But then on a desktop, like my 27" TBD, it just looks too high. Thus my conundrum.
