fonts show up heavier when viewed in firefox

I always have this issue and in fact in all browsers... I use mostly Google's Open Sans and Source Sans Pro. The fonts are slightly heavier and colors brighter. It never got fixed but I am kind of used to it by now...:)

I added this code 'borrowed from Roddy's h1 tag widget' with the addition of JumboT's googleapis 300,400 and it seemed to work fine.
Must be an easier way though. Andy

<link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Quicksand:300,400" />

<div style="position:relative"><div style="left:0px;top:0px;height:0px;width:456px;position:absolute;z-index: 0;">
<h1 style="margin:0;padding:0 5px;font-family:'Quicksand', Arial, sans-serif;text-align:left;font-size:48px;color:#000000;font-style:light;font-weight:300">victorian pine</h1>
</div>

I think maybe if I add : <link rel="stylesheet" type="text/css" href="http://fonts.googleapis.com/css?family=Quicksand:300,400" /> to every page with html snippet it would fix it.

thanks for your comments, I already have a 'running' iWeb website :http://www.victorianpine.com
but transferring it to everweb has been a good opportunity to update things. Andy
