Still cannot understand how to determine space used .Are you talking about opening the desk top file that I'm working on in easy web...if so there is no sitemap in the left hand corner.

ah...but I can't determine how much space I am using and which program I would qualify for....thats why I said Google says I've used 3.03 GB which would mean I need your more inclusive program if I were to do web hosting with you. Correct?

What do you mean by "Google says I've used 3.03"?

How is Google telling you this.

Highlight the folder on your desktop containing the published files and "Get Info" - Command i - to find out the size.

Why did you mark this topic as being answered when you don't appear to have got the answer you need?

Didn't know I marked it as answered?!
when I highlighted the original Superpromostuff folder it was 27.7 MB on disk (20,680,160 bytes) for 2,677 items
When I highlighted the easy web folder with supposedly the same information (minus a twitter page) it came back
49 MB on disk (44,792,717 bytes) for 1,903 items more MB than the original..but fewer items. Does this also mean I'm in the basic limit for online hosting?

When you say "I highlighted the easy web folder", what folder are you referring to?

Only the person who created the topic can mark an answer as the best one. You must have clicked the button by mistake.

Even though you have the same information in your EasyWeb folder doesn't mean you would have the same file size or items as they are two different web building tools that may make the websites differently.

You will be fine with the 2GB EasyWeb plan.

Sorry, I forgot the math. Bytes are difficult to get your head around because each byte consists of eight binary digits. This means that calculating equivalents is not straight forward.

To confuse things even more, some of those concerned with selling digital storage - being sales people and all - present their products in a more favorable light by calculating the storage space as powers of ten. This makes it appear that their products hold more than they actually do!

49 MB is equivalent to about 0.048 GB

2 GB of storage is equivalent to 2048 MB

Put another way, your 49 MB website will use up to - in theory - less than 3 percent of the 2 GB storage available. I say "in theory" because servers need to have a number of files necessary for their performance installed on them which uses up some of the overall capacity.
