I'm not sure what you have installed because I don't have that feature in my color picker. The color picker we use is provided by the operating system so there are no limitations we impose ourselves in it. It's a plugin called Hex Color Picker. Due to my well publicized distaste for floating auxiliary windows, I use a separate app for color window so that I can access it quickly and get rid of it even faster...
