You need to drag both the OGG and the MP3 into Assets in EasyWeb. (Done) Control click each one in turn in the assets list and select "Copy Relative Path" Paste these paths into this code... <audio controls>(Done) ... replacing this... {!-ASSETSPATH-!}External%20Files/file-name.ogg and this... {!-ASSETSPATH-!}External%20Files/file-name.mp3 with your own URLS. (What is a URLS and where is it?) Drag an HTML Snippet onto the page, paste in the code and click the Apply button. Adjust the Widget size to suit the player and drag it into position on the page. Click the Preview button to view the page in the browser and test the player in Safari or Chrome for the MP3 and Firefox for the OGG.[/quote:2fciyywf] |

When you control click the audio file in the Assets list and select "Copy relative path" the URL is on your clipboard so all you have to do is paste it (command V) into the code.
When I set up the initial html and added this info that's when, after I sized it the words were way outside the box. Somehow the step of "Copy relative path wasn't done, as I recall though. My brain is easily scrambles post stroke so please forgive me! You shouldn't see any words. You should see a music player.

| How did you know? I did a preview and all I saw were words. I did not see the play button. Everything seems to go very well until that. | |

Drag an HTML Snippet onto the page from the Widgets panel. Paste this code into the box that appears in the right panel and click the "Apply" button. <audio controls>Drag the widget that appears on the page down in size to fit the player or use the Metrics inspector to adjust it to about 250px wide by 26px high. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Dear Roddy, Here is a copy of what I originally wanted the page to look like. I changed the background because I couldn't figure out to make it look like iWeb. I'm fine with the way it turned out so far. http://www.scotrammermusic.com/Scot_Ram ... _Page.html Here are 2 more I need to do. http://www.scotrammermusic.com/Scot_Ram ... Kings.html http://www.scotrammermusic.com/Scot_Ram ... racks.html With iWeb it was a breeze. I am having trouble figuring out the last email. Before my stroke I would have had this hired but being on a very fixed income I am trying to do this myself. iWeb was a breeze but the music file x-fer is quite a lot to figure out for me. My thought is to abbreviate the music files. These are copies just for the site and that might help. I really appreciate your assistance! Warm regards, Scot |

Have you tried watching the EasyWeb instructional videos... http://www.ragesoftware.net It doesn't look as though there is one about the HTML Snippet yet but I'm sure it will come soon. The iWeb audio player with the placeholder for an image isn't used anywhere else that I know of because most people just want the controls and not the image. Using the HTML5 player, you would need to drag an image onto the design canvas and place the audio player below it. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
