New Forum layout

User: Paul-RAGESW 12 years ago
We've installed a new layout for the forums that is fully responsive meaning it will adjust properly on smaller devices such as phones and tablets.

Let us know if you like it.

It's ... ok. But it seems to slow down the loading time quite a lot. But maybe I'm the only one experiencing that.

I think it just needs to update the cache and it should be back I normal.

Looks like it. After browsing the forum for about 15 minutes, it's much faster.

What irritates though are the huuuge thread titles above every post. Can they be reduced in size?

Generally like the new design, much more modern. However I miss the links for going back in the top of the windows, instead of the bottom where they are now.

Brilliant ... much easier to navigate...

looks good and works easy after a few clicks

Is this an example of Admin kowtowing to the female members? I mean - pink heading and frilly border - what does that do for my macho image?

Now I need to make sure nobody is in the room and looking over my shoulder when I visit the forum!

Perhaps you could use this design as the basis for the baby website theme requested elsewhere?

The subject-heading in every post is a bit dominating, takes to much space a think.

What am I talking about? The "RE: NEW FORUM LAYOUT" above here.

It got reduced in size already ;) But I agree, it's still too dominant.

Notice clipping on my iPhone 5:

On an iPhone version of a website you need to insert code to get the browser address bar to scroll up out of the way once the page is loaded.

Whosoever designed this didn't do it.

It may have. The way these design is coded it is difficult to change this permanently but I will look into it further at another point.
