This has been asked a lot of times already (I think the [url=http://ragesw.net/easyweb-beta/search.php?keywords=master+page:ym2umoit]forum search[/url:ym2umoit] works ;) ) and the devs sure will implement it sooner or later.

In the meantime you can set up your own "master" page and exclude it from the navigation. When you need a new page, duplicate the "master" page (Command D) and then rename the duplicate and turn on the navigation.

Thanks a lot for the replies, guys :) I'm really new to web design n iWeb saved my butt wen i got this new job n had to do a totally new site for my company! To Roddy on the Duplicate way.. that's what I used to do.. only problem is when there's changes to the "master" layout... But then again, for such an easy to use app, can't complaint much :) Was just a suggestion and wondering if it's in EasyWeb somewhere to do that :-p Really do hope that it'll be a feature in EasyWeb :) Now i can stop fiddling with Muse! Thanks, pumpkin!! Cheers, guys!! :) |

And how do you know that the developers will be implementing this sooner or later? Paul, Jeremy, is this true? When you build a website, you are often tinkering with things along the way. It's not always possible to just create a master page on your own and dupe it and go from there. I myself have about 7 pages and am now trying to figure out a footer. Some of my pages are longer than others, resulting from more content being on those pages. So I was hoping I could just could copy my footer content (3 objects) over to each page. But guess what? On some pages, it lands in the middle - not the footer. So I'm now going to have to manually adjust the metrics for each of those pages that are different in length to the one I built the footer on. Would be WAY EASIER if the footer responded the same it does in any text editing program. You apply changes once, and it corrects for every page! Same as the header. You build your header once and it is added by default to every subsequent page and the changes made to it are likewise amended everywhere. Lack of true header/footer behaviour (at least how it works in the print world) is super inefficient! ------------------------------- rMBP 15", 2.6 Ghz, 16 GB RAM, OS X 10.11.6, with 27" Thunderbolt Cinema Display www.cleetche.com |
