Viewing adjusting images inside the imageframe

adjusting images inside the imageframe

User: daniela 12 years ago
One of my mostly used features in iweb (and why all other wysiwig applications, beside one, failed for me) was the possibility to mask an image and then move it around and try out which image section looks best. With easyweb I only can mask but not adjust. I deperately miss this feature...
Is there any chance that this will be implemented in a later version of EasyWeb? <!-- s:?: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_question.gif" alt=":?:" title="Question" /><!-- s:?: -->

This, and other features that are being requested, can be quickly and easily done in Preview - far better than iWeb could do it!

Use the rectangular selection tool to select the area and size. Drag to adjust and then crop (command K) and save.

yes, thats a possibilities, but it is not what I need.
I want to see the image in the context of the whole site and try different images before I decide and cut and crop ;)
Designers think and work very "untechnical"...
User: Roddy 12 years ago
"Untechnical" designers usually create a wireframe before they pass this onto a techie to create the page.

You don't need Photoshop for this - Keynote is excellent and has all the image manipulation tools and other print media stuff that are not appropriate for a website building app.

Most beginners don't seem to realise that professionals create a wireframe and a lot of them still do it with pencil and paper!

A website design, layout and sitemap should be created before you even think about opening your web design app.

hi Roddy, thanks for your feedback :)
I am not sure what a wireframe is?

As a senior printdesigner, I use the complete adobe package and PS is easy for me.
Webdesigning though I leave to the youngsters even with dreamweaver on my computer. Coding is just not for me, I tried it... <!-- s:roll: --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_rolleyes.gif" alt=":roll:" title="Rolling Eyes" /><!-- s:roll: -->
And sure, I often slip back in thinking as a printdesigner when I do webdesign which is maybe normal? <!-- s8-) --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_cool.gif" alt="8-)" title="Cool" /><!-- s8-) -->

For smaller sites I was extremely happy with iWeb and will be happy with easyweb as far as I can see now.

My request was just for a great and helpful feature of iWeb, that I miss...

Yes we will add this feature and hopefully make it more powerful than iWeb's was.

Would be nice been able to drop a picture and make adjustments with in the frame, rather than working outside in another program, as you can see if the cropping is right within the webpage.
I use iweb as it is easy to change picture easily for my photography website would be a great addition to make Easyweb even better.
Appreciate the developer are actually listening to there client base, well done.
