You have to publish to a folder and then use an FTP client to publish your website.

Yes, we just haven't gotten to it yet. It may come in a later version.

I have a suggestion for an easy middle way. One that I would love to have anyway. On the website setup page, make a checkbox and a folder selection field. And if you check the checkbox and set a folder, the website will automatically published to the folder when the publish button is used. |

Quote: set a folder, the website will automatically published to the folder when the publish button is used EasyWeb already has this feature but you need an EW hosting account for it to work. I don't understand why anybody would want to publish to a server without first testing the site locally. Maybe they don't ever make mistakes? ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Quote: EasyWeb already has this feature but you need an EW hosting account for it to work. Okay, but as I see it right now it doens't seem possible to create an account without subscribing to a webhosting plan too. And I don't need that. I need an app that can create WYSIWYG webistes publish them to my already subscribed web hosts. And if this is suppose to be an iWeb replacement it at least should be possible to publish to a folder without paying 99$ a year. Don't mind the 99$ buy for the app. Someone wrote it, someone should get paid <!-- s:D --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_biggrin.gif" alt=":D" title="Very Happy" /><!-- s:D --> Anyway what I meant with publishing to a folder is that you select a folder, in this folder it will put the latest version for testing, meaning it also deletes the contents of the folder when publishing to it. And when you are ready uploaded via FTP. |

Quote: Okay, but as I see it right now it doens't seem possible to create an account without subscribing to a webhosting plan too. The cost of EasyWeb is $99 whether or not you want to use our web hosting or not. You still need to create an account. If you aren't using our web hosting you don't have to pay yearly. However, you won't receive updates after your year has expired if you don't renew. There won't be a cheaper version of EasyWeb. EasyWeb will cost $99. Quote: And if this is suppose to be an iWeb replacement it at least should be possible to publish to a folder without paying 99$ a year You need to purchase a license to publish with EasyWeb. iWeb didn't even allow you to use it unless you bought it (though it came free with new Macs, you needed to purchase updates to iLife at the full price). iWeb was released by Apple, the largest company in the world, that in order to get you needed to spend $1000+ on a computer. EasyWeb is very much like iWeb in functionality but the price is different. Mainly because we aren't making thousands of dollars selling you other products. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

And someone wrote it, so someone should also get paid, and compared to what I have sampled of iWeb clones. Yours is the best. I was just VERY confused with the pricing and host thing. And that is know cleared up. And I am just waiting for the final Release. What by the way reminds me, can the websites created with the beta software be moved to final version? |
