Still can't open on an iMac 27"

User: Guest 12 years ago
Hi all,

I've sent a couple 'crash reports' with this version. Since day 1 I have not been able to open this program on my 27" iMac...and really, that's where I do all of my web building work. Trying to do it on the air is frustrating when you have a 27" screen sitting there, mocking you.

Here are my computer specs...running OSX 10.8.4, 27" iMac, 2.66 GHz Intel Core i5, late 2009 model. It runs everything else... and my laptop is running the same OS.

Please fix this or let me know if there's something I can do. I've just tried playing with a program called Webflow... and after an entire day of trying to recreate an iWeb website, I'm done. It's more than frustrating. And while I love the 'mobile' aspect and seeing how it'll look on various devices, I'll need way more help before I could really use it. Not enough tutorials on how to do stuff.

thanks,
Kris

You never responded to my last email on June 15 about downloading a new version of team viewer so I can properly connect to your computer.

Unfortunately, it seems it's difficult to co-ordinate a time. Whenever I was on, you weren't available....

There has got to be something that's making this crash. I did send in 2 'bug reports' when it attempted to start up as prompted by the program. If you send the link again, I will try... also... I'm running the latest version on my Macbook Air... and I've noticed that it has a glitch where it won't show all of the page controls when scrolling. I can't see the footer or the header notes... it's as if it thinks I have a larger window and wont' show those bottom ones... that's on the Air...

The problem was just that you had an earlier version of Team viewer so I couldn't connect. Please download from this link;

I don't see an crash reports from you. If the crash report doesn't ask for your email address then the report is not sent to us since it is a system crash and it is sent to Apple instead. You need to copy and paste those reports to us in an email or here.

Please post a screenshot of what you see because I cannot tell what you mean by this description. You can take a screenshot by holding down the COMMAND and SHIFT keys on your keyboard and then pressing the number 3. An image file will appear on your desktop that you can post here.

I did input my email and got a reply to that email last night, so I'm hoping you have gotten it now. I'm just heading out and I will attempt to open it again later and attach a file for you just in case. I'll also download the newer version.

Here's what the email said.. HI,

#ODX-224-70311]: easyWeb .9 bug report
Does this happen each time you try and open that site?

As for the scrolling...it seems to be intermittent. After quitting and restarting the program it's working fine. But if it does it again, I'll take a screen shot and post it. All I meant was that it wouldn't allow me to scroll all the way to the bottom of the options on the design panel to the right...so I wasn't able to see the boxes that allow you to put in the header/footer code. Sorry for the confusion. Again, I'll take a screen shot if it happens again.

And I think the program is great thus far. Was only trying to help with any bugs as I can't help but wonder if any other iMacs do the same thing...I am quite addicted to iWeb and this appears to do all of that and more in an easy to use format. I'd really love to mess around with it on my big screen...the small screen just doesn't cut it. Thanks for trying to help.
