Borders around objects

I just got around to updating part of my web sites and wanted to put borders around accordion and Text Section Widgets. I noticed that I could update EW and I now have Border Options , Stroke and Dividers. From what I read (if I read correctly), I should be able to select a Widget and use the Stroke and Border Options to make a border around the Widget. I can easily do this with the TextBox Widget but not with any other Widgets. I have always used the Shapes to make borders but that is a bit of a bother. I was hoping that the new Border and Stroke options would ease the job but it is no joy. I am obviously trying to do something that maybe cannot be done or I am not reading the web instructions correctly. Any advice? MacOS 15.6.1 Everweb 4.4.3 build 3228 oops, forgot. For the moment, this is all on a fixed page not a Responsive page. |

Hi Myron, To make sure we’re understanding this correctly, could you please share screenshots showing: - The widget selected on the page (canvas view), and - The Inspector panel where you’re adjusting the Border / Stroke options Also, just to confirm, which specific widget types are you trying this with (for example Accordion, Text Section, or others)? One thing to check in the meantime: when the widget is selected, are the Border / Stroke options active or greyed out in the Inspector? If they’re greyed out, that means borders aren’t available for that widget. If this is a third-party widget, border support depends on the widget itself, so you would need to check with the widget developer to see if they have an updated version that supports those options. Once we can see exactly what’s selected and which controls are being used, it’ll be much easier to clarify what’s happening. Thanks for the reply. I did some more experimenting and found that the problem seems to be with third-party widgets. It seems to work ok with the widgets that come with EW but not some of the other widgets. Thanks for the help. Myron |

Hi Myron, Thank you for the update! We are happy to hear that you were able to narrow down the cause of the problem. Since the issue is specific to those third-party widgets, the best next step is to contact the developer or provider of those widgets directly. They will be best equipped to help you with any compatibility or configuration issues within their specific tools. I will go ahead and close this thread now. For any future technical issues, please consider reaching out to us by **creating a support ticket**. We are able to provide much faster response times through our direct ticket system than on the forum. ------------------------------- EverWeb Customer Support Submit Tickets or Learn More |
