Viewing Dynamic containers
Dynamic containers

The new containers are fantastic and I can create some wonderful designs with them, but without objects inside being able to dynamically adjust as the browser window size changes, they are somewhat limiting. I'd like to see all containers (responsive row, container row/column/free flow) allow objects placed inside to dynamically adjust, just as the flex box does with text and images. Combining the functionality of containers and flex box would be incredibly beneficial. |

Hi Jesse, Thanks for the feedback! we’re glad you’re enjoying the new containers. Objects inside containers can already be set to dynamically adjust as the browser window size changes. To achieve this, both the container and the objects inside it need to be set to Full Width. When the container is Full Width and the objects inside are also set to Full Width, they will resize and adapt responsively as the browser width changes, similar to the behavior you’re describing. Please let us know if you have any questions or need help setting this up. ------------------------------- EverWeb Customer Support Submit Tickets or Learn More |

That's great to know! Thank you for the information, I apologize, as I was not aware this could be done. When I originally spoke with someone via email regarding the dynamic behavior of the new containers (right after they were introduced), the response I received made it seem as though they were not intended to be able to do this. Perhaps I misunderstood. Is there a video that describes this? I did not see any that demonstrated this functionality, but perhaps I missed it. I think I figured it out, but my only concern is when using an image inside a container (let's say a square image), that has a corner radius of 20, and is set to "scale to fill", when re-sizing it squishes the image container horizontally, instead of re-sizing the image itself. If I set the image to "scale to fit", it re-sizes it proportionally, but the rounded corners vanish and go back to hard edges once the size begins to change. Is there a way to keep the corner radius consistent when using "scale to fit"? |

Hi Jesse, There isn’t currently a dedicated video that specifically covers this behavior, so it’s easy to miss. Regarding your question, there isn’t a separate setting to force a consistent corner radius when using Scale to Fit. If you’ve been able to check how it looks in Preview (a real browser) and the rounded corners appear correctly there, this would point to an editor/canvas display issue. If you can confirm that, it can be logged as an editor rendering issue. Either way, your feedback has been noted and passed along to the developers. Thanks for taking the time to explain the scenario. Best regards, M.S. ------------------------------- EverWeb Customer Support Submit Tickets or Learn More |

| The issue shows up in preview on any multiple browsers. It appears as though the corner radius is applied to the image container only, not the image itself. Once the image changes size and moves outside of the original container shape, the rounded corners are no longer applied. You can see the corners change as the image changes, until the corners are sharp again. It's not a huge deal, was just wondering if that's something that can be rectified in a future update. Thanks! | |
