I'd like to use the link pop-up window as a way to show more information for products on my site, without having to rely as much on modals and slide-out drawers. Mainly because it's really easy to just add a link and make it a pop-up window. What I'd like, is a way to customize the window and the background. For example, the corner radius on the window. Perhaps the ability to change the background color and opacity, or even a background blur would be cool. Creating a slightly different look on mobile view would be nice too. Using this, I could just create pages on my site that are simply specific to certain products, and only have the information and images needed on them...no Menu bar, no footer, etc., and use those for the pop-up window. They could even have links on the pop-up. Just a thought. |

Hi Jesse, Thank you for your message. You can customize quite a few features of your pop up windows. I’d recommend watching this tutorial video, it includes some helpful details and visual guidance: https://www.everwebapp.com/support/video-tutorials/linking-to-a-popup-window.html As shown in the video, when you create a new page for your pop up window, you can insert any elements you like (widgets, text boxes, images, etc.). After adding your element: 1.Select it and open the Inspector panel on the right. 2.Under the Metrics tab, adjust the width and height as needed. 3.Next, go to the Page Settings tab and, under Page Layout, set the "Content Width" and "Minimum Content Height" according to the values you used in the Metrics tab. You can make these slightly larger if you’d like a bit more space. 4.Set both"Minimum Header Height" and "Minimum Footer Height" to 0. 5.In the Page Background section, you can choose a background color or image for your pop up page. Additionally, if you select any element on your pop up page (for example, a text box), you can further customize its appearance under the Shape Options tab. There, you can modify settings such as fill colors/images/gradients, border radius, strokes, shadows, and more to achieve your desired style. I have a request regarding the current pop-up window options. Would love to see a customization to the "pop-up" option itself. For example, instead of pop-up, option for "slide in" panel from left (or right, top, etc.) That would be a great addition to this customization. The fact that you can adjust the sizing of the window is wonderful, and would work great for "slide-in" panels. You could choose how far the panel slides in so that it only fills a 1/4 width of one side of the screen. A "drawer effect" would also be great. For example, being able to choose a widget that the drawer slides out from (underneath, for example). My website has a lot of information for customers to digest, and I often use widgets that have slide out and drawer functions to hide a lot of this information until needed. To add this functionally as a built-in option in Everweb would be awesome. I would love to see this in a future update. |
