How do I … Add a Fade In Scrolling Animation? I need to have an item (overlaid at the bottom of a large hero image at the top of the page) fade in as the page is scrolled up. It’s easy enough to have an item fade out as the page is scrolled up, but I need this item to fade in. As well as having the item start with full (100% opacity) I’ve also tried starting with the opacity way down (10% ish), but regardless of the Fade settings - 0 to 1 - the item still only fades out from the opacity I set at the start of the animation. Selecting or deselecting Reverse Action on Scroll Up has no effect. It’s easy enough to have an item Scale either up or down by setting the value to above 1 (to scale up) or below 1 (to scale down). But there’s no such similar option to have an item fade out or fade in - it’s Fade Out only. So, how do I set my item to Fade In as the page is scrolled up? |

Hi Brian, Thank you for your post. Could you please provide an example or short demonstration of what you’d like to achieve? This will help us better understand the exact fade in effect you’re looking for and allow us to assist you more effectively. If possible, please send us a link, or short video showing a similar effect on another website. Looking forward to your reply. ------------------------------- EverWeb Customer Support Submit Tickets or Learn More |

| Attached is a simplistic image of my desired scroll animation: an item at the lower-right of the window with 10% ish opacity, increasing to 100% opacity as the page is scrolled down. | |

Hi Brian, Thank you for your reply. The Scroll Position > Fade effect can only fade out while scrolling, and there’s currently no built-in way to reverse it for a fade-in. If you’d like the object to fade in once as it becomes visible, you can try Inspector > Shape Options > Animation > Fade instead. This effect starts transparent and becomes fully visible when the item enters view, although it isn’t tied to scroll distance. We understand this may be inconvenient. If you need a true scroll-based fade-in, you can open a support ticket to request a custom widget and get a free quote for the service. I give up trying to attach the image to this board. I've hosted it online at the following URL: https://www.llandyssil.com/Opacity.png |

OK, so there's currently no way to include a fade in of an item. I need to have another item move upwards and diagonally to the left of the page as it's scrolled. I see there's an option for vertical movement (Scroll Speed), but nothing for horizontal movement. How can I achieve this? |

Hi Brian, Thank you for your reply. Currently, diagonal movement is not available in the scroll effects. However, you can use other behaviors listed under the Scroll Effects section, such as “Pin to Left”, which may help achieve a similar animation. For more details on scroll effects, please refer to the video tutorial below: https://www.everwebapp.com/support/video-tutorials/scrolling-effects-explained.html If you’d like, feel free to open a ticket and send us your requirements, so we can provide you a free quote for creating a custom widget for any animation effect required.
