Viewing Multiple computers

Multiple computers

I now have a MacBook and would like to update my website using it from time to time, although I want to continue to use my iMac most of the time.

I've set up optimisation so all my Macs share the documents folder, and I assume this should facilitate my working on the same files from any of my Macs. Unfortunately, I migrated everything to my MacBook from an older iMac (still in use), so when I open the Everweb app on it, it opens an older version of my website. How can I point all instances of Everweb on all computers to use the same file in my documents folder?

Ok. I've realised the file isn't in the documents folder (that's the backup). So, I have a different question: Is there a way to work on a common file on different Macs without having to post an up-to-date version to a shared location first?

Hi Steve,

Thank you for posting!

To work on your project file across multiple computers, please refer to the following video tutorial:

Backing Up or Sharing an EverWeb Site

Please ensure that:

- Only one computer accesses the project file at a time, and
- Your cloud storage service is fully synced with all devices before opening or closing the file, to avoid any risk of file corruption.

Best regards,
