Viewing Photo as banner with embedded text problem

Photo as banner with embedded text problem

User: Ray D. 9 hours ago
It's been almost a year since I last worked on my website, and now I can't remember how I did some of the "standard" features on my pages. In particular, I have photo that is used as a banner at the top of each page, with a title embedded in the photo.

To add a new page, I copied one of the existing pages. Now I'm trying to figure out how to change the photo in the banner. I can change the text, but I can't find anything for changing the photo. I selected Inspector, and checked Page Settings, Shape Options, Metrics, Text, and Widget Settings, and there is no mention of an image under any of those.

The photo (image) isn't used as a fill. In fact, I tried adding an image fill, and that did let me put in a new image, but it's on top of the existing image. And the existing image is visible slightly around the edges of the fill image.

What am I missing???

Hi Ray,

Thank you for posting.

From what I can read, it seems like the image is coming to your new page from a Master Page.

To check if you are using a Master Page, you can see it in the page's Inspector > Page > Master Page section. If it's other than 'No Selection', then you're using one.

Kindly note that Master Pages are equivalent to templates, so if you have the image in your Master Page, it will show on every page that uses it.

You can edit/change said image in the Master Page itself. For this, you can simply double click on the image to go to the corresponding Master Page automatically.

If this is not the case and you're not using a Master Page, please open a ticket using https://billing.ragesw.com/submitticket.php with a description of the issue, and send us your project file so we can take a closer look at it. We'll be happy to help.

Best regards,

Thanks. It says No Selection, so it's not a Master Page. However I did stumble into the solution. I found that I could click on the tiny bit of the existing image that was showing around the edges of the new image. When I did, I was then able to replace the existing image.
