Viewing Picture Frames and Shape Mouse Overs

Picture Frames and Shape Mouse Overs

User: Christopher 12 years ago
Just a little note to say I've started 'seasoning' some of my pages and am quite impressed with some of those picture frames. They seem to default to certain colours though, don't they? But it was a good find!

I've also just discovered something new to me under Shapes while tweaking a colour fill: mouse over and mouse down once I click on Normal. This too is a good surprise and I will likely put it good use. I only wish I'd seen it sooner! Is it obvious enough to people, to hide those options under the 'Normal' tab? Or maybe I just wasn't looking for it...

Carry on...

Here's a topic about frames...

The release version will presumably have a manual so new users will have a head start on us!

Rage does a lot of excellent instructional movies but I don't have the time or patience for such things. I'm hoping they produce a manual with a really comprehensive index. A good interactive index would make the application a lot easier to understand and would help support staff to point users to the appropriate section(s).

Wouldn't it make sense to add the mouse-over options to the Link (paperclip) section?

I import a png image of text (using a non-websafe font). And I want it to change colour when someone hovers over it by calling up a second png. So I enable it as a hyperlink, and if I didn't accidentally stumble upon the mouse-over options way over under the Shape panel by one day clicking on Normal for no reason at all, I would've had no idea I could've even done this with EW.

I agree that the mouse over transitions are sometimes hard to find. Likewise, any option in the header may not be obvious.

I see your point with putting it under the hyperlink tab and after some though I don't think it belongs there. It would take a lot more code to do that and people may want to use it without a hyperlink.

The problem with EasyWeb is that most features out of the box are easy to use/find but there are a lot of hidden features that a written user manual would really help users find out about.
