[quote:mg7s32db]Would it be possible setup the directories or drop down menu so that some of the pages can be linked to external links such as smug mug which will allow you host pictures and create a toolbar that will link back to your website? here is an example in iweb (no drop down though) after clicking on this page, click on Event Gallery. So what would be ideal would be to have the Photo Booths page with a directory that has Event Gallery, which links to my smug mug page, which is already setup with a tool bar that links back to my actual web site. http://www.contemporarydjs.com/photo-bo ... mento.html[/quote:mg7s32db] This question was asked by toryl in the Announcements section so I am answering it here. The simplest way to do this is to use a zero time meta redirect. It's not as scary as it sounds. Any items in the default navigation menu can be made to redirect to an external page. Create the page with no content and then give it a name in the Page inspector "Navigation Menu Display Name" box. Copy this code... <meta http-equiv="refresh" content="0;url= http://www.website-name/page-name.html" />Replace - http://www.website-name/page-name.htm - with the URL of the page you want the link to point to. Open the blank page in EasyWeb and paste the code into the Head Code box in the Page inspector. Publish the site and test in the browser. Example page with an "External Link" for both the directory and a page in the directory... http://roddymckay.com/EasyWeb/ew-menu/index.html Last edit 12 years ago ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | You Rock this should work. I wish we could integrate this with the inspector, but this will do. Thank you for your help. | |

I've created and re-created link buttons on some of my pages so visitors can get directly to my Contact page. Unfortunately, on the live site there is this "(placeholder)" behind the Contact Button link I've made. Why is it there and how can I get rid of it? ThxABunch, :-) Sunny |

Hi Paul ~ I kept working it, mostly by deleting the buttons w/links I created and finally it's OK. I just looked at the site and those "placeholders" are no longer showing. Sorry I can't help solve/help others prevent this ... but I'm happy they're gone ... LOL Next time I'll do my usual screen shot of issues I encounter. :-) Sunny |
