I would love if there was the ability to add an HTML5 auto playing slide show. The photo gallery that is currently on there doesn't cut it. I don't want to have to click on the object, then the photos become larger and fill most of the screen. I want to be able to have a slideshow object that I can size to the correct dimensions, drag and drop my photos to, and have it play as soon as my home screen is loaded. Similar to how this is setup: http://www.jrcustomonline.com On a similar note, in the original iWeb, there was the option to insert MobileMe albums. It would be incredible for site maintenance to be able to use the above idea and incorporate PhotoStream into it. I would literally be able to edit and add new photos to my site from my Apple products. I'm not sure if these sort of API's exist or if it is feasible, but that would hands down be a feature that no other website building software currently has (as far as I know) and give you a huge step up and appeal to a wider range of people. At the very least, I know that it is possible to include a Flickr PhotoStream in a website. Look forward to your response, Kyle |

You can do it with a third party application to make the movie and then start playing with html code, cutting and pasting, renaming, replacing, making folders, adding snippets onto the widget uploading and a few other steps to get it to do what you wish. I also want the ability but don't want the complicated process. After all, it is called Easyweb. If you do a bit of searching you can find the instructions in a thread that I started on the same subject a couple of months ago. I believe there's a good answer from admin. It's just more complicated than I wish to start exploring. Hope the feature is added myself,,,, soon. |

Autoplay slideshows are usually referred to as banners. Most of them use some kind of jQuery plugin. Most of the commercially available sliders such as Wow Slider can be used to create these but they are over rated and overkill for a project like this. The one on the jrcustomonline.com website you referred to uses the Cycle slider plugin. It's actually using an older, kind of heavyweight version where the lightweight version would have sufficed. Here's an example of Tiny Cycle which is very easy to implement... http://ezmacwebdesign.com/Demo/Cycle-Slider-Master/tcycle/index.html If you want more facilities such as captions, hyperlinks and pause on hover you could consider the full version... http://ezmacwebdesign.com/Demo/Cycle-Slider-Master/cycle-2/cap-anchor.html http://ezmacwebdesign.com/Demo/Cycle-Slider-Master/cycle-2/fade.html ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
