Viewing Hotmail not receiving email from contact form

Hotmail not receiving email from contact form

I have tried using an iCloud email and a Google mail and successfully gotten emails from the Contact form widget. But not Hotmail. Once the form is filled out, I get the message that it was sent. When I look in Hotmail, there is no record of the email being sent.
Has there been a change recently in Everweb that might cause this? Prior to a couple of months ago everything was working fine.

Hi Richard,

Sorry for the problems you are experiencing.

No, there has been no changes to EverWeb that would cause this.

What is likely happening is that hotmail is changed their spam filtering.

What you want to do is make sure you are using your SMTP details in the Contact Form Advanced widget.

Paul, I ran a test with Advanced setting and Everweb said it went successfully, When I tried to use the form I got this message. Could not send email: Can't connect to smtp-mail.outlook.com error: Network is unreachable. Here are the settings I used smtp-mail.outlook.com, username, password, port 587, security tls. I don't see the option to specify; STARTTLS as microsoft says. Rich

From the microsoft site. I've tried three different email services in the smtp settings: microsoft, apple icloud and google email and none of them work. I am able to send the form without smtp settings - just an email to my icloud and google email accounts but not to hotmail.
