Anchor tags [noob]

User: Lance L. 2 years ago
NB: I've no idea what an anchor tag is; just quoting it from somewhere

I've miraculously managed to paste a CSS code thingy (don't really know what that is either) in the footer without breaking anything. And it even works as intended. Bigger miracle.

But I do have one problem ... The thingy needs to treat certain text as a link (which it does). But when the page is loaded in a browser, the link is formatted in the default blue underlined. That's despite the fact that I've set default link colours in my master pages. That's not a great look graphically with my theme.

From consulting my trusty google I gather there's some further CSS code that might fix this (or not?). Can anyone help?

NB: I'm monolingual. I only speak English. Please translate any geekspeak as appropriate.

Hi Lance,

You can create a text and enable as hyperlink.
If you need something custom, you can simply paste your HTML code to the HTML widget.
That's right, you can add a CSS class to that "a" tag or apply an inline style directly in your code.
Because, EverWeb use own CSS style classes, and when you are applying some style in your app, it would not affect your code, as it's two different things.
You can try to test it here https://www.w3schools.com/html/html_css.asp
Or you can open a ticket with us here, and we will assist you.
Let us know, please, if we can help you.
