Now that it is easy to create a drop down menu, and some users are going to take advantage of the code injection feature to create multi level ones, perhaps the need for a breadcrumb trail will become apparent. I wonder if these could self generate in a widget? Here's some examples of customized breadcrumb trails and an example of one can be used in place of a bottom navigation menu and include a "Back to the Top" feature... http://www.ezmacwebdesign.com/Demo/breadcrumbs/breadcrumbs.html On the above page I have also mentioned why these are useful on mobile websites. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! I would like to second this. I have previously 'bodged' this by hyperlinking a string of text on each page, using the ">" symbol between words. It does mean I have to edit this for every page to display what I think seems right - page by page <!-- s:( --><img src="{SMILIES_PATH}/icon_e_sad.gif" alt=":(" title="Sad" /><!-- s:( --> If some form of breadcrumbs could be built into EasyWeb and could do this automatically, this would be really helpful. Here is an example of what I am currently having to do as I do have a lot of pages, now with drop-down menus |

It can't be nearly as difficult as implementing the drop down navigation?

Nope it certainly isn't. It is actually a feature I have wanted to implement for a very long time. It is a bit of a "special case" widget which makes it a little difficult but not impossible to implement. Would be a useful feature I think as breadcrumbs are very useful for navigating a website. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
