A couple of SEO type questions

User: Susan S. 4 years ago
I'm getting ready to upload a new, simple website for an artist next week. On one page I have a section where 2 images are grouped together - specifically one is a white brick wall with hanging lights and on top of it I have an image of her art, so you can generally see what it looks like in a room.

There are 5 similar images (different sorts of rooms). I've got each set of two images (room and art) grouped together just to make them easier to adjust spacing and order.

Now I'm going thru the site and adding page descriptions and alt. text for images. Will having the image grouped together change anything?

So, for example, will it change how Google "sees" the page/website? And I'm putting the same text on both the room and the art, so would it show up once published if I put my mouse on it and/or if I was blind and using a verbal reader?

Would I just be better off not to group these images together?

Many thanks,

Susan

No, the grouping won't effect anything.

The ALT text is used for screen readers and also search engines as you know. It won't show up when you mouse over though.

Hope this helps.
