Viewing Text slides within the web page

Text slides within the web page

User: Sejo S. 6 years ago
I am posting this thread hoping that the question might be of common interest for EverWeb users.

I got 8 pages of text from my associate - with about at least 7-8 lines of text, that I should insert into the website.

Putting the plain text box and then just typing in the text wouldn't be a pretty solution, it would look stale, boring and wouldn't draw the attention of the visitor, nor flatter the webpage, imo.

I was thinking more of sliding in the text in the same area of the body of the webpage, page by page (let's say 8 lines of text in total on each page).

Each page would slide or roll into the page, then after some time, the next page would get in, and that rotation would go on rolling on.

The obvious solution would be using some of the sliders, and have the text in the form of the jpg or pdf or whatever written document, which is to be inserted in slider of the choice.

I have implemented the sliders in the web page with pics as the material in the sliders - but the intention here is to have the actual text boxes, each text box would be the one of those 8 pages, 8 lines on each such "page" (on average) that would roll in successively one after the other and alternate in occupying the same area in the body of the webpage, somewhere not far below the header of the page.

This intended solution (if it would be possible to achieve) feels cleaner and far more seamless than the others I know
of, it would be of interest to know whether this is possible.

I've tried the method I outlined in my email and it works OK.

Stack the text boxes with different delay times with the one on the bottom of the stack having the shortest time.

That does work - for one iteration. The repeat option does provide the repetition for a single action on each slide (text box).

The problem is that what I need is the repeating sequence - of - say 8 text boxes (slides) appearing reccuringly in the same sequence all over again.

I believe this question has been raised before, if I am not mistaken, this was the thread in question:

The demo in this thread is showing the empty page, however.

In short - the functionality I am looking for is the same of the picture slide - one with both auto and manual option for going through the
slide sequence, or only auto - but this with the ordinary text boxes.

The Animated Layer Sliders shown in THIS topic can be simplified by removing the background image and replacing it with a stage like THIS.

In THIS version, the image has been removed and the article element centered. The slider can be manual or autoplay with arrows removed and a pause on hover option. The demo has the text animating in from different directions on each slide but these could be all from the same direction or set to a simple fade in.

These sliders are based on Slick Slider and have been customised to create a hero stage rather than a responsive one. The layers are created by adding some custom CSS and java script.

The end result is more like the Lazy Loading Hero Slider without the backround images.

I have seen there yesterday, while looking for the options for the solution to this - well - "problem" or small "challenge" of sorts...
... and I have been impressed with how they present the material and what options they offer, this adds a lot to the website and makes it far more attractive, depending on the source material (pic quality) as well. They are, indeed, really nice !

However, I have stumbled upon something interesting - and the link is here:

however, I couldn't find this widget anywhere among the EverWeb Codebox widgets. Where can this be obtained ?

I am inclined on accepting your suggested solution, and implement it more on the website, it is certainly very attractive, but even this text
slider is interesting as a quick solution.

Very interested in that particular widget, and the whole pack as well .

Any estimate about when it could be available ?
