404 error on blog posts

User: Kat B. 9 years ago
Hi,
I'm getting a 404 error on all of my blog posts. All the preceding pages show up fine until I hit the actual post.

"The requested URL /Beagle-Blog/Store-news/Entries/2017/1/furry-nation-blitz-day.html was not found on this server.

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request."

Here is a link to the page that when you try and open any blog it hits the above error.
http://www.thefurrynation.com/Beagle-Blog/Store-news/index.html

I host with Bluehost and send files via ftp. It seems to go through the file transfer process just fine.
All other pages show up as intended. I even deleted the entire Public.html folder on bluehost and reloaded the whole website just to make sure there wasn't a duplicate or corupted file somewhere.

Thanks
Kat

Hi Kat

I've tried this out and I can get the same result. I believe that the problem is that the blog directory is nested within another directory. If you have the blog on it's own then it probably will work. I guess that this is something that should be supported in the future. I've tested this on my EverWeb+Hosting account.

Hope that helps for the moment!

Hi Kat,

Simon is correct, the issue appears to be because you have your blog in a sub directory.

Fortunately we have just fixed this issue for 2.1. This version is still in beta testing, so it has not been 100% tested.

I posted this update in the announcements forums.
