Is there a way to eliminate the left and right borders of the Image Gallery widget? Thanks, LC Last edit 9 years ago |

Which borders do you mean? Can you be more specific?

-- Roddy When the Gallery widget is put onto a page, it puts a margin on the left side of the first image and a margin on the right side of the far-right image. There is no built-in option to make a change. I want the gallery displayed in a way that allows me to have the images placed to the left and right edges of the page—no margin. I'm guessing that this is not possible, though it would have made better sense for EverWeb to design the widget to have a zero margin as the default. LC |

The EverWeb gallery is a kind of one size fits all thing and, as such, it's very versatile. There are quite a few alternative galleries. Here's a preview of a widget which uses the new control to allow the use of separate thumbnail images to make galleries load a lot faster. The demo has padding, a border and a maximum width set to stop it spreading too wide on large screens. Removing the padding and border and increasing the max width will get the image grid to sit against the browser edge. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! This version gets rid of the thumbnail captions and allows the thumbs to be spaced out. This is far superior to any of the other galleries since it uses separate thumbs so the page loads a lot faster. Previous galleries are not suitable for use on the mobile version of the site since they generate the thumbs from the full size images which have to be downloaded as the page content loads. The widgets has options for a heading and text and a responsive footer so that a fully responsive page can be created in conjunction with one of the new header widgets. Including the gallery and the text content in the same HTML5 container will give far better search engine results too. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | How do you purchase these widgets? I find your site confusing for purchasing widgets.

These widgets use a new control which should be available with EverWeb V2.1 The EverWeb Codebox website is confusing - especially to me. It started out as a site to demonstrate how to use EverWeb's code insertion and then got taken over by hundreds of widgets. I am in the process of creating a new site with lots of new widgets. The layout will hopefully make it a lot easier to find widgets by category or by using the custom search function. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! | Thanks, Roddy. I hope you didn't take it as a slight against all of the great widgets you've created. Any estimates of when your new site or 2.1 will be released?
