This seems like the simplest thing in the world, but I have nvere gotten a redirect to work w/Everweb. Don't I just add the URL I want redirected FROM to the "redirects" field on the page I want it redirected TO? Or am I missing something? Is it something like including/not including www.? Or-? Also, how do you make more than one URL redirect to the same page? Thank you! Daniel |

| Hi Roddy. Merry Xmas. Yes, I watched the video 2-3 times! I'll tackle it again tonight. As long as you know that 301s work generally w/Everweb, I must've done something wrong. | |

They work as long as you publish to the EverWeb server.

Hi Thomas, Quote: OH, only everweb server? So it´s useless if you have your stuff on other servers? The 301 redirects work with EverWeb's servers only. If you use a third party web hosting provider you may be able to set up the 301 redirects with them but you would have to work with them to find out how. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

| Question... why did this change? I've been using Everweb since it was first released and redirects always worked, regardless of where the site was hosted. Why would you go backwards? I had them working up until I just updated some sites with the new 2.0.2 version. | |

Hi, Kristian Quote: why did this change? I've been using Everweb since it was first released and redirects always worked, regardless of where the site was hosted. Why would you go backwards? I had them working up until I just updated some sites with the new 2.0.2 version. I'm not quite sure how you could get them to work in the first place, since they never were supported on third-party hosts. I'm sure that your host has 301 redirects features too, you may ask them to set those up for you. Though I do understand that placing that redirect in the application is more convenient. Sorry for the inconveniences! Damien ------------------------------- EverWeb Customer Support Submit Tickets or Learn More |
