Everweb has turned into trash for me personally

| I just built a new website that will not publish. I have my main site on another domain that once published excellently that I have not been able to update for some time now due to these error messages that continue. I have gone through the Everweb people. They say it's on GoDaddy's side that they need to open up the ports. They say that's ridiculous. That it's not on their side, it's on Everweb's side. I'm just about done with Everweb unless this gets resolved. There is no reason to have a website building service if you can't publish the damn website and nobody seems to be all that interested in helping to solve it. | |

Hi Jeff, Sorry for the problems you are experiencing. I understand you are frustrated and I hope we can resolve this for you ASAP. I have reviewed your tickets. The last one you sent to us was from 100 days ago, I am not sure if you have contacted us with a different email since then. Anyways, this issue is usually caused by a firewall that is enabled on your router that switches ports. This can be resolved in 4 different ways; 1. You can turn off any port forwarding settings or firewalls on your router (You will have to Google your type of router to find exact instructions on how to do this) 2. You can ask Godaddy to open TCP incoming connection ports up to 60,000 3. You can publish to a folder and use a third party FTP client that may use a different system to publish and can work around this issue (such as the free http://www.cyberduck.ch client( 4. You can switch to EverWeb + Hosting which will not have this issue. Again, I am sorry for any inconveniences this has caused. Unfortunately this issue is tricky to track down within our FTP features and is a combination of issues as mentioned above.
