Create sub-folders within Assets

User: PeterRussell 9 years ago
I love the update to 2.0.2 but what I find complicated, rather than confusing, is the list of Assets which can grow uncomfortably large. What would be a great idea would be to have sub-folders within the Assets group. These could be on a page by page basis perhaps, or perhaps a structured system that mirrors the user's directory structure on a Mac. I find that I have to add a date to each file name within a group (or any other alpha numeric file naming that may be suitable) in order to have the files grouped together in the Assets list. Whilst this does work, it inevitably means that a great deal of time-wasting scrolling has to be done in order to choose the files - particularly when building a photo gallery. Is this possible?

Hi Peter,

I definitely agree and it is something that is high on our to do list. It is certainly an inconvenience and something we really want to add to EverWeb to make asset management much easier.

In the mean time, creating image albums and galleries goes a lot quicker if you use the method described HERE and will save a lot of time searching for individual files.
