Oct. 3 Dropbox quit rendering HTML and killed my website. Took me 6 days to realize that web browsers were downloading the index file. I have a domain and I was forwarding the Dropbox Public folder index.html link to make my domain link pull and render the index.html file. I used EverWeb to convert from iWeb. If I upgrade the hosting version can I easily move my site and copy a link for the new EverWeb hosted site to change my Domain forwarding to the new site? Thanks Last edit 9 years ago |

Hi Jarvis, Sorry to hear about your website! Yes you can switch to EverWeb hosting and the process will be very simple. We will send you full instructions once you are signed up to hosting. The process is basically changing to strings of text called nameservers with your domain registrar to point to our servers. Then you publish your site. Within 24 hours everything will start working. Hi Jarvis, The domain can be switched immediately. You won't lose any time that you have paid for, it all gets transferred over. Hi Paul, I just purchased a new hosting account with Everweb for a domain I have registered on GoDaddy. Is there a tutorial on how to change the nameservers? I see in my account where they are listed but it won't allow me to edit them. Thanks! Lilah |

UpDATE: I think I see how from the email I got from EverWeb ok I have published the site to EverWeb hosting. N4KHQ.com is still point to dropbox. Does my new site have a url, I am guessing it is N4KHQ.com and I will have to do something different at register.com other than forwarding to a url. Thanks Last edit 9 years ago |

| OK I have published to n4khq.com on EverWeb hosting and changed t Nameserver 1: to ns106.ragesw.com and Nameserver 2: to ns107.ragesw.com. Waiting 24 hrs. Hopefully I will be back up tomorrow. Thanks | |

Yes I think should be if you have updated the nameservers correctly. Actually it will work right away for anyone who has not visited your website in a few weeks. It may start working within a few hours for you as well. It just depends on how fast your ISP updates their DNS. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
