Trouble setting default Link Colors?

User: Ben L. 9 years ago
Hi Paul,

I use the Format > Default Styles to set the default hyper-link colors. But nothing seems to happen when I create a hyper-link. I always get a set of colors and underlines that have nothing to do with what I've set myself. Am I missing a click somewhere?

I've got scores and scores of hyperlinks to set ... and I think I'll go a bit batty if I have to set the colors/mouseovers/underlines manually.

All ears,

Ben

Hi Ben,

The link colors will only apply to new objects/text you create. Any existing objects will not use these default colors.

If you already had text written in a text object and then set this, it won't be used. You can copy and paste existing objects, or duplicate them, and they should use your new colors.

Setting default colors would not work for me at all UNTIL I quit the software and re-launched it. Then and only then had it saved my settings.

That is strange. Does it still happen for you? Do you still need to quit and relaunch to set the default colors?
