Viewing Poor picture quality

Poor picture quality

User: Jeff K. 9 years ago
I have an EverWeb photography website. I upgraded to version 1.9.6 and have developed a picture quality issue. When I drag photos from my computer desktop to an EverWeb page the images aren't as sharp as they used to be. It's not a big change but one I notice. Images seem to be affected by the way I re-size a photo on the page, or maybe when I click allow free dragging. I can't pinpoint what is affecting the photo quality once it is dragged to the page. I need to get this corrected, even if I have to go backwards and download an older version (if that's possible).

UPDATE: I went back to version 1.9.0 and my photos are fine now.

I have this problem as well. I'm transferring over an old iweb site, and when I transfer image files, the quality drops.

Have you tried experimenting with the Publishing Options in EverWeb Preferences?

I don't think the quality dropped.

iWeb didn't export as retina images and my guess is that you are viewing your website on a retina mac.

I suggest you use version 1.9.6 and make sure you have a retina version of your image. That means the image needs to be twice the height and width of how you want it displayed on your website.

However if you still have issues please post your website URL so I can confirm the problem. Please make sure to include the exact Url of where you are seeing the problem.

Note that if you're using EverWeb 1.9.5 kor earlier you need to add @2x to your image file names before the extension (.jpg). But still your images need to be twice the height and width for retina macs.
