Hello, I have used the Password Protect feature for about 2 years and it worked well. Yesterday visitors to my site notified that by using the ’escape’ button they could enter protected pages. Do I something wrong or is this a bug? Willem |

Hi Willem, Sorry for the problems you are experiencing. For the page that is password protected, is the actual directory folder a real page or is it forwarding to the first sub page? To check this, select the directory in EverWeb and if there is a page designed there then it is not forwarding. I recommend that you unselect the option in Inspector->Page settings->'Redirect to first child page'. Then you will need to design a page for the main directory page there. Let me know if this fixes the issue for you. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |

Hello Paul, I use directories (folders) instead of pages. I do NOT use subpages. If I understand you well: when I select a directory/folder, one directly sees the content and there is no subpage. The option 'unselect the option in Inspector->Page settings->'Redirect to first child page'’ is unselected (and in fact was never selected). See the print screen (sent via a support ticket) Regards, Willem |

Could the password issue be related to the fact that I moved the files from the normal place onto a Dropbox directory? If yes, I will move back all files, since I do not need the flexibility to upload the site from anywhere. Willem |

Quote: Could the password issue be related to the fact that I moved the files from the normal place onto a Dropbox directory? You mean your website project file? No it is not related to that. I am still investigating this issue. ------------------------------- Paul EverWeb Developer |
