This may have been asked before, but will there be a contact form with some kind of security against bots be coming in the future? It would be an idea for users with more than one website as it will save going to a third party paid site eg jotform etc etc.

No Paul, the contact form goes to junk folder in most recipients mailboxes even when it is marked as safe . It seems to me the server sends a heading similar to spam. As EverWeb is my hobby I use quite a few forms and most of the sites I make, people ask for Captcha or something similar. Dont get me wrong I love this software! (simple to use for all) |

Joss, If I had used Captcha on a form it would have been very hypocritical since I never fill out forms that require me to pass a test to see if I'm human. reCaptcha is a lot more user friendly and, as it turns out, not too hard to implement. I added a reCaptcha option to the Basic Contact Form widget as a test for another user. It's just a question of checking three boxes and entering the Site Key in the widget settings and adding some text and the Secret (or Private as Tectite calls it) Key into the formmail script. If you contact me, I will send you a copy to try. I want to see if users can manage it OK - and that my instructions are clear - before I update all the form widgets.
