Master pages ?

User: Ann Marie J. G. 8 years ago
I'm new to EverWeb and am working on a restaurant website that has 2 locations. I have created 2 separate master pages for the 2 locations with the usual stuff that goes on every page.

Some links will change regularly so it will be easier to change those on the master as opposed to having to make changes on every pages header and footer.

In the inspector for a master page, the only browser background choices are color fill or image fill. Is it possible to have 'none' as a choice so I can assign different browser backgrounds (food photos) for my regular pages.

It seems that on a page assigned to a master, the page and background options are not available, obviously b/c they pick up the preference from the master. Is there a way around?

Not a way around that I know of. Depending on how the sites are setup.... if you have multiple pages under a 'section', you could create a master for that section.
Look into a widget that may do it easily, check out this and this.

Hi Anne Marie - I have exactly the same question as you.

I set up my Master Page exactly as the tutorial said and "on a page assigned to a master, the page and background options are not available, obviously b/c they pick up the preference from the master". I want different browser backgrounds for each page, but EW won't let me.

I have tried everything I know and just can't get around this. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Jennifer,

Unfortunately this is not possible at the moment.
