Caption Gallery Widgets: size of the pictures

I just bought the Caption Gallery Widget in the Sliders Widget Pack and I'm disappointed by the fact that the size of the pictures in the slide show does not automatically fit to the screen and there are no size options available. Every picture appears much bigger than the screen in the slide show. It seems to me that I should manually scale every photo on my computer, before loading them into the assets list. Is there any chance to have that feature in this widget? Thank you in advance for your reply! |

I would like to ask just one more question: in your instructions about adding images for a gallery you suggest to give alphanumeric names to the files, as to quickly put them into the right order, and this makes sense! But at "Mac SEO blog/Image Gallery basics" one is advised to rename image files in an individual way, before importing them into EverWeb, as this would be more effective for SEO purposes than renaming them in the Assets List. Can you confirm that? Is the best naming solution perhaps “Company's name a1” / “Company's name a2” / “Company's name b1” (and so on)? |

When naming image files you need to remember that they for part of a URL so there should be no sapces or special characters such as an apostrophe. You wold name you files like... company-name-a1.jpg If you want your images to be found in a search, the keywords should be in the alt attribute and the title attribute if the image is a link. In the Caption Gallery widget, the thumbnail caption is derived from the alt attribute and the full size caption is derived from the title attribute. If you make sure the captions are descriptive - and contain any keywords you wish to come up in a search - you will have SEO covered. With this particular widget, the thumbnail caption scrolls on hover so you can add quite a few keywords. The large image caption also has plenty of space and can take up the width of the image ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb!
