Bring a project back from webarchive to the project window

Due to lack of storage on my laptop, I decided to save my published projects from each project website and did Save As and saved as a webarchive on my external drive. Then I deleted the projects from the project window and would like to know if it's possible to reinstate these on the project window. Also, is it possible to locate all the existing published projects as I seem to have some missing, from my backup on external drive. Last edit 8 years ago |

Hi Margaret EverWeb project files have a .everweb file extension so find your projects by searching for this extension. Your EverWeb Project files are stored in the Users-<Username->Library->Application Support-> EverWeb folder. Move the .everweb files to this location so they show in the projects window when you launch EverWeb. |

My saved projects are .webarchive as I saved them from the open website. I can't find any projects with .everweb extension. | |

Hi The webarchive is a particular archive and not a backup of the EverWeb Project file itself. Do you still have the original EverWeb project files? You can regenerate the code produced by the project file by publishing to folder on your local hard disk. From what I have found about webarchive this may produce what you need. You can also take a webarchive file in to MS Word and open it there... hope that helps. You may want to google webarchive to get you further with that particular archiving software... |

If you have deleted a project file - and don't have a backup - you will need to recreate the site. Like most drag and drop web design apps, EverWeb can't import the published files.
