Viewing Font typeface bug

Font typeface bug

User: Cornelis V. 10 years ago
Whenever you change the typeface from Regular to Bold or Italic via the main menu Format > Font > Bold (second and third option) you can't change it back to regular when you happen to be in the Fonts dialog window, from the main menu Fonts > Show Fonts (first option). Clicking the Regular option in this fonts dialog window does't seem to do anything. It has no effect on the typeface at all when you have set the typeface with the main menu Format > Font > Bold or Italic option.
For example Underline works as expected in this case.

I've had the same problem and reported it before. The issue was supposed to be fixed in 9.4b but it hasn't.

This is because not all fonts support the Bold and Italic option so these settings kind of "fake" it. We're working on improving the way fonts are handled in a future version of EverWeb but I will also look into improving this issue as quickly as possible.

I've found that when I want to change fonts or change font colors, etc., and the change does not work right, I can change, for example in the case of color, to a color I don't want and then back to a color that I do want and all is OK after that.
