Create pages that allow upload of text and photos by defined users

I would like to make a family cookbook website that would allow defined users (family members) to upload recipes and images to the site. Cant find out how to make pages that allow text and image upload. Any advice?

I also need to have the ability to limit access. This entails creating user accounts that will allow defined users to add content.

I gave some instructions for file upload on THIS page.

To be able to set up passwords for individuals, you would need to be publishing to a server other than the EverWeb one. You than need to edit the .htaccess file to point to a .htpasswd file which contains the list of valid users.

You can find out about this by Googling the terms or by asking your host's tech support. If your hosting service uses Webshell, password protection can be achieved using the wizard.

ThX - that helps a lot. I looked at this and this is a solution but what I really wanted was for the ability of family members to enter text i.e. a recipe and photos in a text and image holder. I would then manage the uploads via a home page with linked index. My ISP (1&1) supports password protection.

If each family member had a copy of EverWeb they would have their own project which would be uploaded as a sub folder to the server. Then you would like to the pages inside this folder from your home page.
