I followed the video tutorial (I think) and am having issues with the comments displaying at the top of one post and in the middle of another but within the build I have the box placed far underneath on both pages. Is this an easy fix? Do I need to provide any further info? |

| Unless someone has dealt with this particular issue and happens to read and comment, providing a url to the page, if published, is the best bet. That way people can look at it and hopefully find the issue. | |

You have inserted the Disqus code twice. Once before the chunk of text and once after. Remove the first one. Comments should be placed after the rest of the items in the content area. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! May be posted in the wrong place? Received the following after trying to open EverWeb Beta 9.5 (not sure on build number): This beta has expired. Please visit http://www.everwebapp.com forums for an update. This was after several unsuccessful attempts to publish changes on my website. I've now loaded a new copy of EverWeb Beta 9.5 which is Build 1481 to see if it will work correctly. Last edit 10 years ago |

It's not a brilliant idea to use a beta version of the app on a production website. If you do need to try the latest version, use a duplicate of your site project file or start a new text project. Try downloading the latest stable version from HERE and see what's what. If you still have problems, post a new topic in the Bugs section of this forum. ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Hello Roddy, While I have great respect for your help and knowledge. I'm amazed at what you can do with code. Your reply, however, is a little judgemental. I'm using the Beta version because the development team included a feature in the PayPal widget that I despriately needed for my website. While it still doesn't allow me to use all the features of PayPal the added feature allowed me to launch that section of the website. Now, if someone like you can come up with a widget that would allow me, and I'm sure others, to utilalize all the options of PayPal I would be a lot more happy and would even pay extra for it. For now the website is fully functional. All that it's missing are a few updates I was trying to publish. I plan to go back in Time Machine to last week when everything was working properly and see if I can get the website to publish. If it does then I'll redo the updates I've made since then. If that doesn't work I abandon the Beta version and remove the PayPal page until 9.5 is final. |

Sorry if I cam across as being judgemental. That was not my intention although it is best to make a backup before you do try a beta. V1.9.5 should be out fairly soon. I do have some PayPal widgets in the pipeline but they won't be released until the stable version of 1.9.5 appears. There;s some links to preview pages in THIS topic. What do you mean by "all the options of PayPal"? Can you elaborate? ------------------------------- Roddy Website: http://everwebwidgets.com Contact: http://everwebwidgets.com/ewWidgets-home/contact.html NOTE: I am an EverWeb user and NOT affiliated with EverWeb! Hi Roddy, I do have everything backed up. The problem I was having and am still having to a certain point was the website was getting stuck somewhere while publishing to my GoDaddy account. I finally got it to publish fully.. I looked at your PayPal widgets. They look promising. The feature that was added in the beta of 1.9.5 was the optional check box in the EverWeb PayPal widget, "Use Global PayPal Shipping Settings." This allows me to set sales tax and shipping rates in PayPal instead in EverWeb. It's a feature shown in their PayPal video but didn't work in 9.0 as shown in the video. PayPal has other options including allowing for several shipping cost options, i.e. adding express shipping, etc. I've yet to figure out of the EverWeb widget will allow the website user to select between shipping methods. I'd also like a way to set up a way to eliminate sales tax and shipping so that our club members could use Paypal to pay their annual dues. Thanks for asking. Last edit 10 years ago |
