Copy paste individual images from iWeb not working

User: Alexander S. 10 years ago
Hi
I've been spending a month or so rebuilding my huge iWeb site in Everweb.

I have a LOT of images in iWeb that are nicely resized and I don't have original copies of some so its saved me days being able to quickly copy my image from iWeb directly to Everweb.

Note this is not copying the iWeb template as in the thread further down the page, just my own images as below...

....but now since purchasing and upgrading Everweb nothing happens when I press paste on my new site as below :(

I can copy and paste from other programs ok, so whats happened??

The original images are in iWeb's domain file.

It's in the Home directory > Library > Application Support > iWeb folder.

Right-click the file and choose 'Show Package Content'.

Thanks, but it was the ease with which I could see the images in context in iWeb and work between the two programs that felt more efficient than trawling the list of images. I'm assuming the feature is disabled in 1.9 to protect apple content being transferred, which is fair enough.

No this is a bug in EverWeb 1.9 which we are addressing in EverWeb 1.9.5. We hope to have a beta of 1.9.5 within the next 2 weeks.

Sorry for the inconvenience.

Paul-RAGESW - Was this ever fixed? I have just purchased EverWeb and trying to rebuild my webpage and the video I watched before buying said transferring images were as easy as "copy" in iWeb and "paste" to Everweb.

I do that... and I end up with a blank box the size of the picture.... but with no content.

What gives?

I kind of purchased the product because of the advertised ease of converting my iWeb pages. The complete rebuild is hard enough -- but to dig and find the original images is not easy or as convenient as you guys said it would be.

Perhaps I am doing doing wrong?

Hi,

What you should do is preview your site in your web browser and then you can drag and drop images from your web browser into EverWeb.

Unfortunate as of El Capitan, iWeb can no longer copy and past images to ANY third party software. But you can still easily move everything over from your web browser.

We're working on a new video to show this.
